One of the biggest problems faced in the United States is the unavailability of fresh, affordable produce. While there are many articles, books, and podcasts addressing this topic, it is still a growing issue. I felt as though people needed to view the struggles of food insecurity through a new medium. In this series I went to the San Rafael Canal (CA), and took photographs on each side. Starting with Whole Foods Market on the "food oasis" side and then going to the liquor store on the "food desert" side, every alternating picture showing the contrast and extremities between the two.
